Since it is that time of year Dan and I decided to make the theme this week icebergs! And boy are there plenty to choose from! We fired up the the iceberg finder website and there were multiple 'bergs around the Avalon. This picture was taken in Freshwater this morning, and I tried my best to frame it up in that cutout of rock, however it was difficult to do with the tree in the way. Overall, the weather this morning was overcast so not ideal for picture taking, but we made due with the light we had.
Funny story time. Dan saw the iceberg between the rock cut, and in order to get the proper vantage point we had to walk into someone's backyard. The cabin looked empty, no lights on, no cars in the driveway, so Dan and I park on the road, walk along the outskirts of the property and towards the water. We are there probably 5 minutes, I'm trying to line up the photo and Dan says "Matt, we gotta go, someone is home". Dan often tries to play jokes on me, so I brush him off. He says "We gotta go dude", I turn around to make a snarky remark about how I don't believe him, and I see the dude in the window, oh shit. I'm sure the guy didn't mind, but we didn't stick around long enough to find out.
Below is another angle on the same 'berg in Freshwater. It was one of the nicest little communities I have seen in a long time.
