As a kid growing up on the west coast, I didn't understand why it was called the Bay of Island. Having only been to Corner Brook I couldn't see any islands anywhere, it never made sense. But a drive out the bay shows several islands that were charted so well a few hundred years ago the charts can still be used today.
We didn't drive down the bay, this is from a lookout on the ring road in Corner Brook. I was hoping to get a picture of Wee Ball island, but it never went down that way I had a great work trip and hung out with Kieran, Heather, and Terry while there.
