Gibbet Hill is probably my favourite place in St. John's. The views of harbour, the city, Cape Spear, Signal Hill, all over really, are great. You can see Mount Pearl, Flat Rock and pretty much everything in between.
I went up there on Saturday before the storm and found this accumulation of water, not really a puddle but I don't know what else you'd call it. It had the thinnest, brittlest layer of ice. Just next to it there was some moss that had ice resting on top of it that was paper thin.
