About 1000 people turned up on Friday to surround the community mosque, Masjid-an-Noor, on Logy Bay Road during prayer. Many people held signs with messages of peace and unity and while there was a very large crowd it was unlike any other rally I've been to. I think probably because it was a huge cross-section of society - people from all backgrounds came out to support the Muslim community as they, and indeed all of us, take the next steps towards healing following the hate-filled terrorist attack in Ste-Foy, Quebec.
It was sunny, it was windy, it was calm, it was near-blizzard-like.
