By now many have made their way down to Ferryland to view the massive iceberg grounded just offshore, and even if you haven't seen it in person you've probably seen it all over social media. It'll likely be gone pretty soon, but we lucked into a gorgeous day on Friday and got to see it with Nick and Melanie.
More than a few were there Friday morning. But the hordes went down on Sunday, blocking traffic on the highway. Something not common in the area.
While a few hundred were looking at the iceberg, Nick was looking for beach glass.
The iceberg towered over the peninsula leading out to the Ferryland Lighthouse. This was the view from a clearing in Calvert we found last Fall while wandering around.
